School Meals

School Meals
School meals are provided for our children by Kirklees School Meals Service. We have a two-week rolling menu, which can be found below.
- We serve a two course meal at a set price. The cost is £2.75 per day or £13.75 per week.
- School meals are freshly prepared, on school site, using high quality and locally sourced food.
- School meals can be paid for via Parent Pay. For more information on how to set this up, please speak to a member of the main office.
- Please ensure you keep on top of paying for school meals. If you are having any problems paying for school meals, please contact Mr Huffinley or Mrs Batty at the earliest opportunity to discuss this.

Free School Meals (FSM)

Packed Lunches
- Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch from home
- Packed lunches should be brought in a sealable, hygienic container, with your child’s name visible.
- Children should bring a bottle of water with them, which can be refilled at school from the water fountain found in their respective unit.
Break-Time Snacks - 'Tuck'
Children are encouraged to bring a piece of fruit to eat during break time. Healthy snacks can also be purchased at break time. School refers to this as ‘Tuck’. Tuck prices are detailed below:
- 25p – Slice of toast
- 20p – Half a piece of fruit
- 40p – Full piece of fruit (inc. bag of grapes or raisins)
Milk
- Milk can be ordered directly with our provider, Cool Milk – www.coolmilk.com
- Please pay before Tuesday at 5pm to ensure that your child’s milk is delivered for the week ahead.
- Children who are eligible for free school meals, are also eligible for free milk. If your child does qualify for free school meals and would like to have milk, please speak to a member of the office team.

What is not allowed?
As a school, we try to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage our children to eat healthily. The following items are not allowed to be brought to school or included in packed lunches:
- Any items that includes nuts (e.g Nutella)
- Sweets
- Biscuits
- Crisps
- Fizzy drinks
